You may search by one field or a combination of fields:

Search Hints  
First Name: A partial entry like "Er" will be assumed to be the first two letters of a first name and might return results with first names like "Eric," "Ernest." Complete first names like "John" can be used also.
Last Name: A partial entry like "Gar" will be assumed to be the first three letters of a last name and might return results with last names like "Garcia," "Gardner." Complete last names like "Doe" can be used also.
Responsibilities: This field will help you to search for a person based on his/her responsibilities or functions (e.g. "check distribution," "IDR," "BERF," "Fact Finder"). It can also be used to find faculty identified as an instructor or as doing research in a particular field. A partial entry or a complete word will return people who have responsibilities that contain your entry.This is not valid for a student search.
Campus: Limits the search to people in the selected campus.
Department/Major: This field will help you to search for a person based on his/her department/major. A partial entry or a complete word will return people with department/major names that contain your entry. If a search for a department with "and" in the name yielded no results, try changing "and" to "&."
Phone Number: This field will help you search for a person based on his/her phone number. A partial entry or a complete word will return people whose phone number contains your entry. If you receive a page with a partial number, you may search for the person with the partial number, but you can not use 8-2211 for a person at 284-2211.
Fax Number: A partial entry or a complete word will return people whose fax number contains the entry. If you receive a fax with a partial number, you may search for the person using the partial fax number. If you don't know who a fax number belongs to, you may also search for the person with the fax number, but you can not use 8-2211 for a person at 284-2211. This is not a valid search for students.
E-mail: A partial entry like "jd" will be assumed to be the first two letters of an e-mail address and will return people with e-mail addresses like "jdoe@miami.edu," "jdanzig@miami.edu." Complete emails like "jdoe@miami.edu" can be used also.
