The Launch Pad Elevator Pitch Contest! Over $65K in prizes! Student and alumnus categories! Deadline for entry November 11th! The Launch Pad is sponsoring its first annual Elevator Pitch Contest as part of our Global Entrepreneurship Week celebration, November 16th through 21st. An elevator pitch is a brief overview of an idea for a company, product, service or project. The pitch is so named, as it can be delivered in the time span of an elevator ride (less than 60 seconds or 100-150 words). Each round is open to the public and both the entrepreneur and the audience will benefit from commentary from the judges. Winners are awarded with generous prize packages, designed to help bring these companies to the next level. The Miami Herald, our media partner, will also feature each round of the competition on its website. Elimination rounds are planned for Wednesday, November 18th and Thursday, November 19th with the finals taking place on Friday, November 20, 2009.
