The University of Miami operates the Hurry 'Cane Shuttle during the fall and spring semesters. The Shuttle fleet, including the bio-deisel fueled Optima buses, is equipped with state of the art wheelchair accessible buses, is available free of charge to all University students, faculty, staff, and visitors, and serves most major campus buildings, parking lots, and the University Metrorail station. Excepting the new University Village (UV)-Allen Hall route and the Dickinson route, the shuttle is designed to run at 5 minute intervals during class days, and at 10 to 15 minute intervals at other times. Both the UV-Allen Hall and the Dickinson shuttles are expected to operate at 8-10 minute intervals on classdays. Hurry 'Cane Shuttle facilitates use of perimeter parking lots, and provides a convenient means of traversing campus without using a personal vehicle.
