1098-T (Tax Form)
The Office of Student Accounts produces the 1098Ts each year in January for the entire student population. The tax forms are mailed and postmarked to students by January 31rst. The tax forms provided include the following:
- Payments received for qualified tuition and related expenses
- Amounts billed for qualified tuition and related expenses
- Adjustments made for a prior year
- Scholarships or grants
- Adjustments made to scholarships or grants for a prior year
- Half-time status
- Graduate student status
This form is not required to be included or returned with your tax return. In addition, receipt of the 1098-T form does not indicate eligibility for the tax credit. Please review the links to the IRS documentation below for information on how to use the 1098-T form.
