Where to go, and Who to see
The Veterans' Affairs Office is located in the Office of the Registrar to assist veterans and dependents of veterans who are entitled to V.A. educational benefits. Carmen Suarez is the Veterans' Coordinator and can be reached at (305) 284-2294.

It is the responsibility of those receiving benefits to inform the Veterans' Affairs Office of any changes in their academic career immediately. Failure to do so may result in a temporary interruption of benefits.

Checking periodically with the Veterans' Affairs Office will eliminate oversights that may cause delays in receiving benefits.

Overpayments - How to avoid them
An overpayment of benefits will be charged for those courses in which nonpunitive grades (NG, W) are received unless the student presents evidence of acceptable mitigating circumstances.

No benefits will be paid for courses that do not meet school requirements for graduation. At the time of registration make sure courses selected meet the requirements toward your specific degree.
