Coping With Disaster

In the aftermath of crisis people react in many ways.  Varied reactions of; anger, grief, shock and disbelief; confusion; fear and many more are normal responses to an abnormal situation.  Even after the immediate crisis has passed, people may need emotional support and understanding to successfully return to their previous level of functioning.

On this site there are articles discussing common reactions to crisis, how to cope and web sites with additional information. As parents are often concerned with their children and what to tell them, that information is also included. Your EAP is available to talk to you and/or your family members about how to successfully manage during these stressful times.  Please call us at 305-284-6604.
