The links on the left are intended to help you learn how to better stay safe.  By taking steps to protect yourself and your property, your experience on the Coral Gables Campus should be crime free.  The Coral Gables Campus is a safe place.  Property crimes make up 50-80% of all the crime occurring on campus.  The UM Police Department is working very hard to prevent it, but alone we will not succeed.  You must do your part.  Use common sense and don't make yourself or your property easy prey for criminals.  Take advantage of security escorts, blue light telephones, and all of the safety tips and information found on the UM Police website.
