E-Mail - Exchange/Outlook
Microsoft Exchange / Outlook is an E-mail service provided by Information Technology for the UM faculty & staff.

Gartner IntraWeb
The Gartner Research IntraWeb provides worldwide information and insights needed to understand the technologies driving computer systems, communications, and software. This valuable research tool is available to all faculty and staff.

IBM Mainframe Information
IBM/CMS accounts are available for faculty and staff with a valid departmental account number.

Licensing - Digital Equipment Corporation
Digital Equipment Corporation and the University of Miami have entered into two educational programs, the Campus Software License Grant (CSLG) and the Educational Software License (ESL) program. These agreements provide software and licenses for the university community at an extremely low cost.

Licensing - Microsoft Campus Agreement
The University of Miami has entered into a licensing agreement with Microsoft Corporation for various software platforms to run on any institution-owned or leased personal computer.

OpenVMS accounts are available for students, faculty, and administration with a valid departmental account number.

Security
The IT security group is responsible for providing physical and logical security for hardware, software and data under IT control.

Symantec AntiVirus Distribution
Information Technology has purchased licenses for Norton AntiVirus 2002, one of the leading virus protection software applications in the world. We are providing the software to all faculty and staff for their personal use only. These licenses are not to be used on University owned computers located on campus. For departmental purchases see "Licensing - Software" above.

Telecommunications
The Department of Telecommunications is responsible for the procurement of all telecommunications services at all University locations.

Testing Center
The Testing Center provides test administration, machine scanning and scoring of tests and surveys, administration of faculty evaluations and publication of summary statistics, survey design and tabulation, and measurement consultation for the University of Miami and Southeast Florida.
