Applications for Benefits

Each international student is required to have certain documents and forms in their file, which are maintained by the Department of International Student and Scholar Services. The documents must be received no later than one week after the start of class. For further information, please contact the Department of International Student and Scholar Services.

3 Business Days:

  • I-20 or DS-2019, new document
  • I-20 or DS-2019, certification signature on original
  • Letter of certification to
    - apply for new visa
    - attend 2nd institution
    - invite family members
    - obtain Social Security Number (only for students who have on-campus employment or off-campus work authorization)
  • Transfer Eligibility Form
  • Home Government or other Organizations Forms
  • On-Campus Employment Letter

5 Business Days:

  • Academic Training (J-1)
  • Change to Student Status
  • Curricular Practical Training (F-1)
  • Employment Authorization Based on Severe Economic Hardship
  • Optional Practical Training (F-1)
  • Program Extension
