A professional staff of advisors at International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) assists students before and upon their arrival, during their course of study, and upon completion of their studies with immigration, academic, intercultural and personal matters.  International students must follow specific F-1 or J-1 visa status procedures, such as obtaining the appropriate visa, entering the U.S. in the appropriate status, and maintaining F-1 or J-1 status.   While it is the responsibility of each international student to maintain his/her immigration status in the U.S., ISSS seeks to help students in this endeavor.
