Residential Colleges

Based on the living/learning traditions of Oxford and Cambridge, the University of Miami offers its students a unique experience in its five residential colleges- Eaton, Mahoney, Pearson, Stanford, and Hecht. With the mission to provide “safe, clean, well-maintained, service-oriented, efficiently managed, friendly, caring, fairly-priced” housing, the University of Miami strives create an atmosphere of diverse interaction for its student community.

Residential College Quick facts:

• Each college is staffed with faculty masters of various academic disciplines and their families who work and live side by side with students to create an intellectual community of scholars.

• Professional residence coordinators (RC) and upper division resident assistants (RA) connect with incoming students by aiding them with the transition to college life socially and academically through the implementation of programs, activities and mentoring

• All residential colleges are conveniently located within a five minute walking distance to such on and off campus locations such as the Metro-Rail station, the University Center (UC) and its food court, Ticketmaster credit union and the convenience store.
