Living on Campus
Parking and Transportation
All freshmen must live on campus for two academic semesters. This doesn't apply if you're living with family in Miami-Dade or Broward counties or have been out of high school for more than one year. Freshman students residing on campus may not have cars. For more details, please click here.
But even students without a car find the city convenient to navigate and get to where they'd like to be. The University of Miami provides several means for its students to get around
Coral Gables and explore the cultural atmosphere of the surrounding Miami area.
The Hurry
Canes shuttle will deliver you to various locations throughout the campus
as well as nearby hotspots such as Coconut
Grove and The
Shops at Sunset Place.
Located just across campus, the Metrorail is
also a great way to get to downtown
Miami and Bayside
Marketplace.
