College-Sponsored Achievement Scholarship Program For Outstanding Negro Students

Criteria:  After recipients of National Achievement Scholarships and Corporate-Sponsored Achievement Scholarships have been chosen, the remaining African American finalists are contacted and asked to report their current college of choice. College officials calculate each winner's stipend (based on financial information reported directly to the college) which ranges from $250 to $2600 per year.

Lauranne Sams Scholarship

Criteria:  Black nursing students currently enrolled in B.S.N., A.D., diploma or L.P.N/ L.V.N. programs are eligible to apply if they can demonstrate academic excellence, professional commitment, personal integrity, active involvement in the African American community, and participation in student nurse activities. Applicants must belong to a chapter of the National Black Nurses' Association. The initial screening is done on the local level.

Malcolm Pirnie Scholars Program

Criteria:  Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident. Is a full-time student enrolled in junior year at an accredited four-year undergraduate college.
