As an entering freshman, you can apply to UM’s Miami Commitment program to get a head start on possible careers. Students sometimes take positions working off campus at local and national companies and organizations.

Numerous independent internships are a natural result of our proximity to the city of Miami, a magnet for multinational companies in virtually every industry.

On-campus student employment programs include financial need-based Federal Work Study (applied for by answering "yes" to "interested in student employment?" on the FAFSA) and the Student Assistant Program, to which any student can apply.
