Libraries
Richter Library, the University of Miami's main library and largest in the system, houses collections to serve disciplines in the arts, humanities, social sciences and physical sciences.
Smaller libraries are devoted to architecture, business, law, marine science, medicine, music, ophthalmology and psychiatry. All are accessible to undergraduates at the university.
The libraries combined hold the following:
- 2.5 million volumes
- 254,000 electronic books and databases
- 30,600 electronic journals
- 38,400 current serial subscriptions
- 3.9 million microforms
- 300 electronic databases with desktop access
- Federal Government documents depository
