Microsoft is continually developing new Microsoft
Windows and Office versions, which in turn leads to constant shifts in how
they provide licensing and support for their products. End User Support
(EUS) is dedicated to providing the university community with the most up to
date computer support; therefore, EUS has adopted to use the same Product
Life-Cycle guidelines that Microsoft has developed. This Product
Life-Cycle policy delineates the amount of time that software support is
available for a product to ensure that assistance is available for newer
software versions as well as older versions. It also provides
end users with up front notification of when support will end for the
particular version of the software they are using. EUS will follow
Microsoft?s lead in terms of support expiration ? when Microsoft
discontinues telephone support for a product, EUS will also discontinue
support for that product.
