Nursing Contact Hours

PDTO And CE Broker

PDTO has great news! The office is now CE Broker approved which means there is a more convenient way to obtain nursing contact hours. We offer a quarterly “Lunch and Learn” series for nurses who wish to earn Contact Hours used to renew their licenses.  The series is provided mainly as a benefit to UM nurses that are non-hospital based.

Courses are offered as Computer Based Learning, live workshops or a combination of the two.  Two-part classes provide the participant with an introduction and overview of areas covered in the live presentation; live classes provide opportunity for experiential learning, and CBLs provide the convenience of scheduling and learning in the comfort of your own surroundings.  Classes are also videotaped and converted into CBLs for those who are unable to attend the live presentations.

Course schedules and online registration are available in ULearn.  In the event you are unable to attend a class previously registered for, please remember to un-register.

.

Other online opportunities for contact hours are now available!

The Professional Development and Training Office (PDTO) has purchased access to an  extensive contact hours library for University of Miami nurses.
