As a student, sometimes resources are scarce and you need a little assistance to get your semester off to a great start. The Department of Multicultural Student Affairs provides short term book loans to African, Hispanic, Asian and Native American undergraduate students to assist with purchasing books at the beginning of each semester. The book loan program is funded by private donors who are interested in supporting the academic goals of students of color at the University of Miami. In order to receive a book loan, you must meet the following criteria.

1. Cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0 or better.
2. Must be a freshman or first semester transfer student.
3. Read, complete form and sign agreement.
4. Objective evidence of financial need as indicated by a copy of the students FAFSA.
5. Ability to repay the loan within sixty (60) days.
6. Good academic standing (not on any university probation).
