Community Relations

The University of Miami’s mission is to educate and nurture students, to create knowledge, and to provide service to our community and beyond.  With those goals in mind the Community Relations department strives to work with university departments and local constituents, developing and maintaining strong ties to the civic leadership of the South Florida community and other key opinion makers.

Community Relations programs provide University representation to various community organizations including the Coral Gables Chamber of CommerceCoral Gables Community Foundation, Rotary Club of Coral GablesGreater Miami Chamber of CommerceThe Beacon Council and various organizations in South Florida.  The department also manages “Collegetown: Your ‘Cane Community,” a neighbor program that provides residents in the immediate vicinity of the Coral Gables campus with a variety of services.
