Most IEP students stay in a hotel for their first few days in Miami while they look for a place to live. Many different types of housing are available to students.

Some IEP students live close to campus and buy a bicycle. Some IEP students use public transportation such as buses and the MetroRail. Other students prefer to buy, lease or rent a car and get a Florida Driver's License.

The first few days of your session are Registration and Orientation. During Registration and Orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet IEP students, faculty and staff. We will share lots of important information with you about the IEP, the University of Miami, and much more! You will also take an English placement exam.
