Association of Computing Machinery-Electrical and Computer Engineering Founded in 1947, the national organization of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) is a major force in advancing the skills of information technology professionals and students worldwide. The University of Miami student ACM chapter welcomes students from majors which focus on education within the Computer and Information Technology field including the departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Computer Information Systems.
