Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA)-Environmental EngineeringThe Student Chapter of the Florida Water and Environmental Association is an organization for individuals that are interested in the preservation and engineering of the natural environment. The student chapter engages in activities that preserve the environment and give members a practical view of different areas in the environmental profession. Activities include guest speakers and a minority internship program. The U.M. student chapter became official in the spring of 1994 and has been having meetings since the fall of 1993. Membership to the association is open to all University of Miami students and provides an excellent means of gaining insight to the various opportunities in the environmental area.
