Society of Women Engineers (SWE)-Interdisciplinary

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a national organization comprised of both female and male, student and professional members. The purpose of the organization is to encourage students to pursue a degree in engineering, to encourage professional engineers to further their education, and to increase the numbers and promote the cause of women in the engineering profession. Some of the activities of UM- SWE include: high school visits, high school outreach days, and guest speakers. They also encourage students to visit the University of Miami , and give tours of the College of Engineering .
