The field study course examines innovative urban projects that are shaping a new South Africa, and provides students with an opportunity to engage in service learning at a community project in Cape Town. Accommodations:    Guest house accommodation is arranged for the Johannesburg stay, and accommodation is arranged at Stellenbosch University for the Cape Town portion of the course. If needed, accommodation is available for the Miami pre-departure portion of the course at UM’s conference housing.

Cost: $4,050 (estimated) for 3 credits undergraduate tuition.   Students also pay a $1,300 (estimated) program fee that includes lodging, local transportation and field trips.
