Studying abroad is the perfect way to step outside of the life you know and into a new life you soon learn to love. I urge all students to study abroad, especially because UM offers such a wide range of programs in all sorts of countries. I am excited to see five of my fellow Leicester students at UM next year and enourage fellow students to participate in this wonderful experience! Cheers!" ----Megan Schutle, '07

"This past spring I had the opportunity to study in London, England at Queen Mary, University of London. There I enrolled in Medieval Literature, Physical Geography, and the Films of Alfred Hitchcock. Study abroad challenged my life because it sent me to another country, continent, and civilization. I immediately had to become acquainted with the process of a new university, public transportation, buying living supplies, and placed in a flat with four new roommates! After you have an idea of what your "home" country is all about, you too should explore other parts of the world. International travel is truly the most humbling and maturing process I encountered. This is an opportunity I would recommend for anyone. Without a doubt, you will be a different person coming back than when you set out. Contact me or the Study Abroad office if you have any questions."
