CNJ 595 Section 97: Alternative Storytelling in Spain
CNJ 595 Section 97: Newspaper Design in Spain

CNJ 596 Section 97: Photographic Workshop in Spain

Program Dates: May 16 - June 22, 2008

The program exposes students to trends in Spanish newspaper and magazine design, while providing them with a unique opportunity to develop their photojournalism and feature writing skills. Participants will visit newspapers in Madrid and Barcelona. Students will also use photography as a means to explore the culture of Spain, gearing shooting styles towards content that can be displayed on the web.

*Students are advised to have a laptop and digital camera with interchangeable lenses for this course.

Lodging: Students will share rooms in hotels, hostels and apartments.

Estimated Costs: $8,100 (estimated) for 6 credits of undergraduate tuition. In addition, students will pay a travel package that covers local transportation, lodging, entrance fees and some excursions.
