SUMMER SESSION 2008

SAP 365, Credits: 6 undergraduate

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a bilingual and bicultural institution of higher learning that offers a six-week International Asian Studies summer program. Spend five weeks in Hong Kong, and then the final week in China’s fastest growing city of Shanghai.

Academic Offerings (6 credits)

Housing Accommodations

In Hong Kong on CUHK campus in double rooms with shared bathrooms. In Shanghai students stay in a tourist class hotel.

Costs- $8,250 (estimated), includes 6 credits tuition and IEEP fee. Students pay accommodations, activities, fees and the optional one-week trip directly to CUHK.



Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL)


SAP

ZUEL is located in Wuhan, a well-known trade and financial center in Central China.  Wuhan is also the capital of Hubei province in which the famous Three Gorges Dam is located.  This program is perfect for students who wish to get an overview of China’s monetary and financial system, its real estate market, Chinese economic development, and China’s trading system while being immersed in the Chinese culture.

Dates:  May 25 – June 19, 2009

Academic Offering (3 credits) Students have three-hour lectures in the morning and two-hour sessions in the afternoon with ZUEL students on a one-on-one basis for academic and cultural activities.

Lodging and Accommodations
Students have the choice of being housed in an on-campus dormitory or an on-campus hotel.  They eat in a campus restaurant or the restaurant in the hotel.

Estimated Costs
$4,422 (estimated) includes undergraduate tuition, IEEP fee, and excursions.  There is an optional trip to the Three Gorges, the cost of which will be paid separately.  Housing is paid directly to ZUEL.
