CIGNA continues to be the University's Dental HMO plan for 2009.  Delta Dental is the new administrator for the PPO dental plan in 2009.

DENTAL PLAN HIGHLIGHTS
  • Slightly reduced premiums for both the CIGNA and Delta Dental plans.
  • CIGNA has no change in benefits.
  • Delta Dental offers higher annual maximum benefits, and coverage for implants and more services at the 80% level.
  • The Delta Dental member site, www.deltadentalins.com offers members access to a list of average fees for various dental procedures.  Simply visit www.deltadentalins.com, join the site, and click on "fee finder."

Please note: In the Open Enrollment Guides sent to faculty and staff via interoffice mail, the cost for implants on page 27 had a printing error. The member cost is 50% in-network and 60% out-of-network for implants in the Delta Dental plan.  Implants are not covered in CIGNA.
