BGS Admissions Criteria:

1. Out of high school at least four (4) years
2. Cumulative GPA of 2.2 on all previous college work
3. U.S. citizen or permanent resident
4. Not currently enrolled in another school or college at the University of Miami.

How to Apply to the BGS Program:

Schedule an appointment to discuss your existing credits, educational goals, and academic options. Call the BGS program office at (305) 284-2727 to schedule a day or evening appointment with one of our qualified advisors.

Complete the Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) application including a $50 non-refundable application fee made payable to the University of Miami. Submit complete application and fee to:

Request that official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities are sent to the Office of Admission. Official transcripts must come directly from the institution. Students who are attending college for the first time (or who have fewer than 30 college credits) should provide an official high school transcript or copy of GED scores.
