Discover the technology behind the internet and the World Wide Web, then examine the building of an effective eCommerce strategy. The model, developed by the instructor and widely published, examines how builders of innovative Web sites need to examine the customer base that the site is to serve, the service levels required to serve those customers, the branding issues that the site represents, and the technology that underpins the site.
Examine the business models and developmental issues surrounding the creation of business-to-business Web sites and virtual communities such as MySpace and YouTube.
Use Harvard Business School cases studies to examine successful and unsuccessful internet strategies, including Google, Webvan, and wine.com.

Examine the external and internal environments faced by international corporations. Understand the internationalization process and formulate international strategies.
