Program Information
The University of Miami School of Business Administration is acclaimed for the global orientation and diversity of its faculty, student body, and curriculum. Considered the most prestigious private school in Florida, recent graduates have tagged the University of Miami as the Ivy League School of the South. The Wall Street Journal's recruiter survey agrees, ranking the MBA Program #1 in Florida and 10th in the region. With approximately one-third of the students coming from outside of the United States, a global network of friends and contacts is available. A 24 million dollar state-of-the-art facility was completed recently with computer access at every seat, a paperless library with a full time librarian to assist in accessing research data, a computer lab exclusive to MBA students and high-tech classrooms with executive seating. University of Miami MBA students can look forward to a challenging and rewarding educational experience. The Ziff Graduate Career Services Center is dedicated to creating employment opportunities to graduate business students only as well as to compete for quality jobs.

The MBA Program is a 48 credit hour, lock-step program that can be completed in less than two calendar years. Graduate assistantships that award up to 75% tuition are available for full time students who qualify entering in the fall semester. The School of Business Administration also offers a 32 credit hour lock step MBA Program, which can be completed in one year. This program is offered to students that have earned an undergraduate degree in business within the last five years from an accredited university.

Executives may earn an MBA degree by attending Saturday classes in one of the following programs: Health Administration and Policy, International Business, Management, Working Professionals, or Master of Business Administration/Master of Science in Industrial Engineering (MBA/MSIE).

The School of Business Administration is the only business school in the United States to offer an executive graduate program taught entirely in Spanish. The Master of Science in Professional Management, a 36 credit hour program, meets for five two-week sessions over the course of one year. Off-campus MBA programs are offered to residents of Tampa, Delray, Orlando and the Bahamas. The School of Business Administration offers the Master of Professional Accounting, M.S. in Computer Information Systems, M.S. in Management Science with areas of concentration in Quality Management - Operations Research/Applied Statistics, M.S. in Taxation, M.A. in Economics, Master of Public Administration, and a Ph.D. in Economics. The School's goal is to provide students with a sound background in the functional areas of business. To this end, a variety of teaching methods are used: lecture, discussion, case method, and team projects. Classes are small to encourage exchange between teacher and student and student peers.
