Participants will understand their responsibilities to identify and properly dispose biomedical waste. |

WHO MUST ATTEND: |
Mandatory for any worker whose activities involve the generation of biomedical waste, also known as biohazardous waste and infectious waste. Training must be repeated annually. |

EXPLANATION AND EXAMPLES: |
Biomedical waste (also known as biohazardous waste and infectious waste) must be disposed according to each area?s Unit Specific Biomedical Waste Plan.
NOTE: Biomedical Waste training is presented together with Bloodborne Pathogens, Tuberculosis, and Latex Allergy training as a single session. |
