FIRE SAFETY

Fire Safety issues apply to all work environments at the University of Miami whether you work in an office, shop or in a laboratory. Fire Safety guidelines are based on the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards, The Life Safety Code and the local regulations.

►    Is fire extinguisher training offered? Yes, if you need a fire extinguisher training session you can request it to the Fire Safety Manager, Christine Daley, at EHS (305-243-8443)

►    a Fire Safety training available online? Yes, there is a Computer Based Learning (CBL) module available for fire safety through ULearn. Using your UM I.D. number you can login at http://ulearn.miami.edu/ and select the Fire Safety training.

►    How often should we have fire safety training? It is recommended every year.
