Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

Untitled Document

The Martin Luther King Day of Service began as a small Philadelphia project in 1996 but quickly became a nation-wide movement to empower and strengthen communities through volunteer work. As the University of Miami's first service day of the Spring Semester, students are given the opportunity to break down barriers, meet people they would not ordinarily meet, give back to the Miami community and continue Dr. King's legacy of selflessness and service. Last year MLK Day of Service had over 150 participants. Join us on Saturday, January 24, 2009 to help make a difference!
