Screening of Al Gore Documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”

What: A screening of Al Gore’s documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth”. Following the film, a panel discussion on climate change, science and U.S. policy will include: Harvey Ruvin, Clerk of Courts, 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida, Miami-Dade County and notable climate scientist, Dr. Amy Clement, assistant professor at the UM Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science.

The event is co-hosted by the UM Center for Ecosystem Science and Policy and the UM Environmental Law Society and is being held during National Campus Sustainability Week, observed on campuses throughout the country to highlight the importance of environmental sustainability in all aspects of higher education. A reception will follow the screening and panel discussion.

Date/Time: Thursday, October 26, at 5:30 p.m.

Place: UM’s Bill Cosford Cinema, 1111 Memorial Drive, Coral Gables, Florida
