Tuition and Scholarships

International students must provide sufficient funds for their expenses during the entire period of study, including living costs, travel, and vacation. The University of Miami does not have a need-based financial assistance program for international students.Outstanding international undergraduate students are considered for merit scholarships.

*Medical insurance: All international students are required to purchase the medical insurance provided through the University of Miami Student Health Service.

Payment of tuition, fees, housing, and food expenses is required at the beginning of each of the two semesters. Please note that all fees payable to the University of Miami (application fee, enrollment and housing deposits, tuition, and meals)  must be payable in U.S. funds by international money orders or by checks issued in the United States.  Therefore, if you are paying any of the above mentioned fees from abroad, be sure to ask your bank for an international money order. International students should be familiar with the regulations of their government about sending money to the United States and make arrangements to have the necessary funds available at the designated times.
