Science Made Sensible, a National Science Foundation program for UM graduate students and Miami-Dade County middle school science teachers
Bridge to the Baccalaureate is a collaboration between Miami Dade College and the University of Miami
Summer Research Opportunities:
HHMI High School Scholars Our Summer High School Scholars Research program, funded by our Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) grant, supports students from public and private high schools. This program does not accept students from outside of Miami. Only applicants from Miami-Dade County are eligible. Students, in teams, do biomedical research for seven weeks at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine. At the conclusion of the program teams present their research through presentations and research.
Research in Ecology The Department of Biology at the University of Miami offers a six-week summer program, Research in Ecology, funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. The program is for rising 7th graders (summer between 6th and 7th grades) and middle school science teachers of all grade levels. This program does not accept students from outside of Miami. Leadership Alliance an HHMI program for undergraduate students all over the United States. Freshmen are not eligible for this program. Applicants must be Sophomore level and above.
SURF Program research fellowships in conjunction with the UM Miller School of Medicine.
