Larrañaga Named AP Coach of the Year
The University of Miami Alumni Association congratulates Coach Jim Larrañaga on being names AP Coach of the Year. Larrañaga led Miami to the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season and tournament titles and a No. 2 ranking, has been selected The Associated Press' coach of the year.

GOLDstein Family Challenge
The Goldstein Family challenges all young alumni to reach new heights of participation in Annual Giving by participating in The GOLDstein Family Challenge. The challenge is simple, if 2,013 young alumni make a contribution to the University of Miami by May 31st, 2013, the Goldstein Family will make a $25,000 contribution to need-based student scholarships. Glassell Family Foundation Gives UM $5 Million to Name Research Facility
The University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science has received a $5 million gift to name the new Alfred C. Glassell, Jr. Surge-Structure-Atmosphere Interaction (SUSTAIN) research facility at the school's new state-of-the-art Marine Technology and Life Sciences Seawater Complex. The transformational gift from the Glassell Family Foundation honors the late Rosenstiel School benefactor, businessman, and avid fisherman Alfred C. Glassell, Jr.
