The University of Miami License Plate

In the sea of standard license plates, yours can be the one that turns heads. Make the right impression with a UM License Plate — now available in Florida and Maryland. A campaign is also under way to bring the specialty plate to Georgia.

It's time to pride your ride!

After an amazing 24-year run, UM's beloved mascot, Sebastian the Ibis, has retired from his duties on the UM license plate. The new Florida plate costs an additional $25 more per year than a standard state tag for vehicles registered in Florida*. Your purchase also helps fund University of Miami student scholarships. Over its lifespan, UM's custom tag has generated about 80,000 sales, raising nearly $2 million for scholarships.
