Student Giving

Your time as a student at the University of Miami is full of great memories and wonderful experiences, ones that will last throughout your entire life. Though the efforts of the Annual Fund encourage alumni and friends of the University to contribute to your success and experience, there are also many opportunities for you to give back and make a lasting impression on future students.

Students have a long-standing tradition of giving back to the University of Miami, raising thousands of dollars each year to fund scholarships for underclassmen, and helping the Annual Fund reach out to alumni to reconnect them to the University by working as a Calling 'Cane. Your participation brings you closer to your classmates and leaves you with a legacy of generosity at the University.

Senior Class Gift

Since 1992, the University of Miami Senior Class Gift Program has been raising funds and educating graduating seniors about the important tradition of alumni giving. Since the founding of the program, more than $100,000 has been raised. Most of these dollars have been awarded through the Senior Class Gift Scholarship Fund to juniors who need financial support in order to graduate their senior year. more...

Calling 'Canes

One of the most vital programs to the success of the Annual Fund is Calling 'Canes, the student-run telemarketing program. Since July of 2004, Calling 'Canes has raised almost $800,000 annually to benefit the immediate scholarship and student programming needs at the University of Miami. more...
