'Canes Care

'Canes Care is the University of Miami Alumni Association’s (UMAA) National Community Outreach Program and is designed to inspire alumni and friends around the country to take part in service projects in their own communities.  The idea is to unite alumni and friends in support of a good cause and to provide them with an opportunity to share their University and community pride while making a difference in the communities where they live and work.

Last year’s ’Canes Care was a great success with alumni participating in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Miami, New York, San Diego, Southwest Florida, Tampa and Washington, D.C.  Projects included a book drive, beach clean-up and Habitat for Humanity.
