University of Miami Improves U.S. News Ranking
The University of Miami has been ranked 54 in the U.S. News and World Report survey of the America’s Best Colleges 2007. This ranking represents an improvement of last year’s ranking of 55, and demonstrates the University’s commitment to becoming a top 50 school and one of the top private research institutions in the nation.
Colleges and universities are scored in a variety of areas, such as graduation and retention rates, class size, selectivity and student achievement, faculty resources, financial resources and alumni giving rate.
In the past four years, the University of Miami has increased its ranking by more than ten spots, ranking 66 in 2002, which the University attributes to attracting top students, leading faculty and the dedication and support of alumni.
