Senior Day at the Rock - an Alumni Awareness Week 2009 Event

The sun was shining and Sebastian drew in the crowd and posed for photos as approximately 300 students, faculty, staff, and community members gathered on The Rock to celebrate the Class of 2009! Participating organizations provided materials to educate students on life after graduation, and seniors had the opportunity to participate in a number of interactive activities such as an online sign-up station for ’Cane Connections, E-Alumni Connections, and an online guest book. Seniors could also purchase their class ring and graduation announcements, donate to the Senior Class Gift, place a memory in the Class of 2009 time capsule to be opened at a future reunion, and record a “Senior Shout-Out” video clip to be played at commencement.

The event was fun and festive, and a great way to welcome graduating seniors to our Alumni Family!

Thank you to our participating Departments, Organizations, and Vendors! All ’Canes, Balfour, Capital Grille, Coke Zero, The Graduate School, Herff-Jones, Liberty Mutual, Monster Energy Drink, Office of Commencement, Senior Class Gift, Toppel Career Center, The University of Miami Alumni Association (UMAA), UM Ambassadors, and the University Bookstore.
