How to Wear Your Ring: An Official Class Ring Tradition

Traditionally, juniors and seniors wear the official class ring with the open end of the "U" facing the ring wearer (while wearing your ring, you can read the "U" when you hold your hand up). The ring is worn this way until commencement day. Once your degree is granted, much like turning your tassel to the other side of your mortar board, should be worn with the U in the opposite direction so symbolically others can see you are now an official alumnus and belong to our global University of Miami community.
