Why should I come to Alumni Weekend & Homecoming 2009?

What if my graduation class isn’t celebrating a reunion? Can I still get attend Alumni Avenue?
Yes. All alumni are invited back to enjoy their favorite Alumni Weekend & Homecoming activities, including 50th/Old Timers (SUPERCANES) Reunion, Alumni Avenue, the Audrey R. Finkelstein UM Experience, the Homecoming Parade, Pep Rally Boat Burning, Fireworks, Hurricane Howl Activities, Pregame Celebration and Homecoming Game.
How can I find out who is coming to my reunion?
A list of everyone who has registered to your reunion is located online at www.miami/alumniweekend.
Where are the reunion parties being held?
The 50th /Old Timers (SUPERCANES) Reunion will be held indoors at the BankUnited Center, Hurricane 100 Room. The Recent Grad, 5th, 10th, 25th, 30th and 40th class reunions years will be held outdoors off of Stanford Circle.
When should I plan to arrive on campus?
Activities begin Thursday evening and continue through Sunday.
What is the dress code?
Each event has its own dress code. Dress for the 50th/Old Timers (SUPERCANES) Reunion is business casual. Dress for the Audrey R. Finkelstein UM Experience is business casual. Dress for Alumni Avenue is casual.
How can I register?
You may register by phone by calling the Office of Alumni Relations at 1-866-UMALUMS (862-5867). You may also register by filling out the reservation form located in the back of the Alumni Weekend & Homecoming 2009 Brochure or on the website at www.miami.edu/alumniweekend and faxing it to 305-284-4804 or mail it to the address below.

When will I receive my reservation confirmation?
Confirmations will be e-mailed or mailed as you register.
What type of payment is accepted?
We accept American Express, Discovery, MasterCard, Visa, cash and checks (payable to the University of Miami).
What does the price of the reunion party include?
Prices for each of the class parties include a dinner, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, an endless night of dancing and much, much more!
Can I pay at the door?
Yes, however we encourage you to make your reservations in advance in order to accommodate each guest.
TRANSPORTATION QUESTIONS
What about parking?
On-campus parking passes for all Alumni Weekend & Homecoming 2009 participants will be e-mailed or mailed with your confirmation packet. These passes are valid only November 5 to 8, 2009. A map of available Reunion parking lots will be sent to you along with your registration confirmation.

FOOTBALL QUESTIONS
Do I have to buy the pregame ticket even though I only want the game ticket?
Yes. We do not sell game tickets without selling the pregame ticket. They are sold together as a package.
Do I have to be an alumnus/alumna in order to purchase football tickets?
Yes.
What If I’m a Hurricane Club Member? Can I buy tickets?
Yes, you can contact the Athletics department at 1-866-GO-CANES (46-22637) or

Is there a per-person limit on game tickets?
Yes, four.
Can I sit with my friends at the football game?
We try to accommodate requests for grouped seating, however we cannot make any guarantees.
Is parking included in the game package?
No. The price for parking at the stadium is $25 per car.
Where are the seats located?
They are in sections 106, 107, and 111 depending on the tickets you purchase.
Is there Handicapped seating?
Yes. Please make your request when placing your reservation.
What’s included in the pregame party?
Food, non-alcoholic beverages, and entertainment.
Where is the pregame party located?
The party will take place at the Land Shark Stadium, Gate C Courtyard.

If my plans change, can I get a refund?
Should your plans change, you must cancel on or before Friday, October 23, 2009 to receive a refund. Game Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
