April 16, 2012

Dear Colleagues:

The next Business and Finance “Lunch and Learn” session will be held at noon, Tuesday, May 1, in the Multipurpose Room, adjacent to the Bank United Center.

Our topic of discussion will be the University’s plan for an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. In the months to come you will hear more about the University’s plans to replace its legacy administrative information systems and how this important initiative optimizes and integrates internal and external information across the entire organization. The ERP project is a multi-year, multi-phase project and will eventually touch all of our operations. I have asked Associate Vice President of Information Technology Jack George and ERP Campus Solutions Project Manager Lori Shipley to join us and present an “ERP 101” session for our better understanding of what’s happening today and what’s on the horizon.

Before Jack and Lori speak I’ll spend some time updating you on the latest University news. The session will last an hour. You can bring your own meal or purchase a plate of Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo with a side salad for $8.

Please email Meghan Halley at mhalley@miami.edu if you plan to attend and indicate if you will be purchasing lunch (cash only) or bringing your own.

See you on May 1.

Sincerely,

Joe Natoli
Senior Vice President for Business and Finance
& Chief Financial Officer
