In
attempt to bridge the gap between science and policy,
CESP, the Center for Ecosystem and Science Policy,
offers undergraduates a flexible program that gives
students the opportunity to grow academically, while
earning field experience. Graduates go on to become
environmental scientists, policy makers, managers
and planners. In order to continue to produce the
next generation of environmental leaders, the CESP
needs support to fund scholarships, fellowships,
seminars, facilities, and research projects. Research
projects will include:
- National parks and preserves in tropical
countries
(forest, savanna, and marine habitats)
- Invasive and exotic species
- Effects of rapid growth on air quality, respiratory
health, and the environment
- Saving reefs across international barriers
- Interaction of the urban boundary and the
Everglades natural system
