It is not simply the act of volunteering that makes
volunteers the backbone of the University of Miami.
They are also major financial supporters. Volunteer
organizations like the Citizens Board help to connect
the University with the communities they serve.
They know the needs and the resources of this institution,
and support it through their time, wealth, wisdom
and work. Our volunteers provide valuable knowledge
capital and we embrace them as an integral part
