A major component of the
Clinical Research
Building complex will be the 60,000 square foot
Wellness Center. Designed to improve the health of
the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Medical Center's 16,000 physicians,
nurses, students, residents, fellows and staff, the
Center will include exercise equipment and classes
and illness prevention and management education.
Developing such a facility will produce a healthier
workforce, with attendant economic, productivity and
morale benefits while at the same time lowering the
health cost burden. The Wellness Center will cost
$14.3 million to build and a naming opportunity is
available for $7.5 million.
