• Frederic M. Ayres contributed $100,000 to the
Daughtry Chair in General Surgery;
• Bennett S. Lebow made a $100,000 gift to the
Bennett and Geraldine Lebow Foundation Fund in
the Department of Dermatology;
• Carol Pforzheimer and the Pforzheimer Foundation
donated $267,510 to the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute
for macular degeneration research;
• Anne and Matthew Smith committed $1 million
to the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute to create an
endowment for Dr. Timothy Murray.
• The Dwoskin Charitable Trust Foundation contributed
$250,000 to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer

• The Bruce E. and Robbi S. Toll Foundation pledged
$1 million to name The Bruce E. Toll Alumni Library
in the Robert and Judi Prokop Newman Alumni Center.

to a name Shojaee Hall in the School’s new international
building.
